Memorial Health Center Nominated for Freedom Award

(Medford) Memorial Health Center, an Aspirus partner, has been nominated for the 2010 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. This award is the highest recognition given by the U.S. Government to employers for their outstanding support of their employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.
 
Each year, Guard and Reserve service members, or family members acting on their behalf, are invited to nominate their employers who they feel have provided them with exceptional support, such as through offering continued benefits, differential pay, and family assistance.
 
Memorial Health Center is among 72 Wisconsin employers and nearly 2,500 employers nationwide nominated for this honor. 
 
A national selection board comprised of senior defense officials and business leaders will select up to 15 recipients for the 2010 award. The Department of Defense will announce the 2010 Freedom Award recipients this summer.
