Dialysis Center Earns Certification

(Medford) Memorial Health Center’s Kidney Care (dialysis) Center recently earned certification from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), by demonstrating compliance with national standards for health care quality and safety.
 
“Achieving certification exhibits to our patients and community that our dialysis program is meeting the highest standards of quality,” says Kaaron Keene, Memorial Health Center Vice President Patient Care Services. “We are proud to offer this much-needed service to the people of our area.”
 
Memorial Health Center’s six-station Kidney Care Center opened in August 2009, providing dialysis to a limited number of patients while awaiting certification. Now, plans are underway to expand services to additional patients.
 
The Kidney Care Center attained certification following an unannounced, on-site evaluation conducted by state surveyors on behalf of CMS in November 2009.
